Hamish Delves

Hamish started his career as a marine engineer officer in the oil transportation industry. After moving ashore he gained an honours degree in occupational psychology and chartered secretary and administrator qualifications. Initially he worked as an internal human resource consultant to Mobil Oil Europe, handling its deep sea and North Sea fleet and oil rig professional recruitment, staff deployment and development. He started a career in executive search in the early 1980s with Korn/Ferry International's IT and hi-tech division. This was followed by a spell with Goddard Kay Rogers Northern, before moving to the City to work for a specialist insurance search firm. In 1989, he set up Dixon Delves & Andrews (DDA), which became one of the leading international financial services niche search firms. He established Precise Detail in November 2000. Precise detail, a sister company of precise Learning & Development, has become one of the leading niche executive search consultancies in the international Financial services market.
